Liver supportinging soups
BaoYuan Tang with KaiWei Tang

To support the liver while keeping the immune system active during recovery periods

This is the combination of both previous soups particularly during times when weakness of the liver prevents the use of medicine.

Note: We strongly recommend a health diet free of meat and rich in raw vegetables, fruits, seeds, and nuts, providing a perfect healing environment of high pH and rich in enzymes, biophotons, and unsuturated fatty acids. While the values of vegetarian food are not questioned for optimal healing, this soup is working on the concept that for the immediate needs of a severely impaired health system, nutrients should be cooked out from meat, tendons, and skin. Please be advised to not eat the meat but only drink the soup.

Soup 1:

Functions:
through inducing the feeling of hunger the soup:
1: enhances the digestion of stomach and intestines and the absorption of nutrients.
2: triggers the activity of the white blood cells to digest dead cells, microbes, viruses and cancer.

In Chinese medical philosophy, the feeling of hunger is an important activation of the stomach-Qi. Not only does it condition the body to search for the right food and prepare the stomach and intestines to digest efficiently; it also activates the hunger of the immune system -the white blood cells -to find food and consequently attack cancer cells, viruses, microbes, and dead body cells. If the body is permanently fed well, the white blood cells become less active as they live in nutrient-saturated media.
Modern biology deliberates that unicellular organisms as the amoeboid white blood cells may in evulotionary history have been symbiotic organisms. They receive nutrients from the body in return for keeping the body free of unicellular parasites and dead cells. Seeing this in the light of Chinese medical wisdom, not feeding them too much keeps them more useful.

The soup is made by boiling together the following fruit, root, mushroom, and tree bark in 1 liter of water:

1: 100 g Crataegus pinnatifide, dried fruits (Hawthorn fruits)
2: 50 g Aucklandia lappa, "Costus root"
3: 50 g Polyporus umbellatus
4: 50 g Magnolia officinalis, bark

The 4 ingredients of the soup from left to right: Magnolia, Crataegus, Aucklandia, Polyporus. Total weight is 250 g.

How to do it:
1: select the right pot. The best is glass as it does not react with chemicals.

2: Add all ingredients to water of room temperature and let it soak for half an hour.

3: Add 1 more liter of water, and use strong heat to get to boiling point, then continue on low fire for half an hour.

4: Then pour the soup out and add 1 more litre of cold water to the pot with herbs; cook on low fire for half an hour; add to the first soup.
Discard the herbs.

5: The total soup obtained will be about 1.5 litre.

6: Drink 100 ml at a time, whenever you are thirsty. Do not add sugar or honey. Never drink it refrigerated cold. Finish the soup in 1 day.

The soup needs to be mild and warm, and the patient should have a pleasant feeling when drinking it. If the patient feels that it is bitter, add some Chinese date fruits (Syzygium).

Note: to feel hungry is good; enjoy this feeling at least twice a day and prolong it a bit to keep your immune system hungry. In chinese philosophy, a strong will to eat is the major driving force for survival.

Soup 2:

Functions:
this "protect the beginning" soup in traditional Chinese medicine makes for 70% of all healing processes. The remaining 30% are attributed to herbal medicine.

Ingredients:

1/2 kg river fish (carp or tilapia; no predator, no ocean fish)
1/4 kg beef without fat
1 complete pork leg
50 g Crataegus pinnatifide, dried fruits (Hawthorn fruits)
10 pieces of Syzygium Chinese date

A bowl of the nourishing soup.

How to do it:
1: Add the above to 2 litres of water and cook on low fire for 12 hours;

2: skim the oil from the top and discard (easy to do after the soup is cooled in a fridge);

3: sieve the remaining soup through a strainer;

Drink 3 bowls per day.

Note: if your liver has problems during recovery, stop all drug intake and take care of your liver first.
